New Mercies Every Morning

One of the main verses ingrained in my mind is in Lamentations 3, which speaks of God’s mercies. Often in the past, when I faced tough situations or rough days, I would carry the negativity from the previous day into the next. The pain, the doubt, the heartbreak followed me. I would wake up with a sense of relief, but remembering yesterday’s pain would always bring my morale down. I won’t lie and say I still don’t experience such days, but the word has instilled in me a real sense of hope. A hope that tells me that when I wake up, it’s because God’s mercy towards me has been renewed.

It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. – Lamentations 3:22-23

God’s Mercies Renewed: Proof of Purpose

This is one of the greatest truths that I’m thankful to have written on my heart. Even though tough times still come, I know that with God’s help, I will see them through. That’s the same hope I want to share with others. I understand that life gets tough, but if there’s anything we can latch onto, it’s the knowledge of God’s unwavering love and His willingness to give us a new opportunity. Regardless of where you find yourself today, God’s mercy towards you and me was renewed the minute we woke up. Countless others didn’t wake up today. I don’t know why, but I can say this: if you and I opened our eyes today, it’s because God still has a plan for our lives.

Waking Up: God’s Reminder That He’s Not Done With You

I may not always be seeking God the way that I should, but there are truths that have been written on my heart and ingrained into my mind, and this is one of them. I’m not here to preach to you or tell you that you’re going to hell because of your sin. What I wanted to do in this blog post is to encourage you by reminding you that God is still with you. No matter how close you are to Him today or how far you’ve drifted away from Him, look towards your waking up as a sign of how close God is to you. It’s a truth that keeps me afloat on my bad days and one that instills hope in me. One that tells me that, “hey, God is still not done with you.

Revival in Christ is my way of spreading the Gospel. Jesus saved me when I didn't have anything to offer Him. Even now, He still has mercy on me. The most I can do is live for Him and share Him with others.
