Hey, my name is Gilberto Torres Jr with Revival in Christ. Thank you for visiting. My goal is to preach Christ and to do something different for God. With the intention always being on promulgating the Gospel.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. – John 3:16

I wanted to take some time to introduce myself to our visitors. Without taking any attention away from Revival in Christ and its core mission. I only see it as a necessity to show the face behind the posts. My name is Gilberto Torres Jr. I was born in California and reside in Georgia. Most importantly I have an amazing son!

Finding Personal Revival in Christ

I wish I could trace my conversion to a date. Unfortunately I don’t have one. What I can tell you is that my conversion was a process. Infrequent visits to a Catholic church as a child was all I knew about church. I was first introduced to the Christian church in 2012. My dad was assisting church and I noticed changes in him. Through his testimony I ended up going to church. I wasn’t a full on Christian yet. I had questions that led me to read books on philosophy and even Buddhism. Some time passed and it became real to me in 2013.

A personal trial that nearly broke me led me to a more intimate relationship with God. It’s easy to share the trial today and how it shaped my faith. Living it in real time was a completely different story. I found myself in between two paths: I could try and deal with things by myself or give God a chance. Thank God that He gave ME the chance. I began to seek Him fervently. The more I sought Him, the more my worries were washed away. My sins had been forgiven and I felt like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders. The problems didn’t disappear. I just realized that He was greater. Being in His presence was the maximum high.

Persevering

Today I serve at my church Word of Faith (Palabra de Fe) in Marietta, Georgia. Again, thank you for visiting Revival in Christ. I pray my work is a blessing to your life.
