His Power is Perfected in Weakness

This is a feature image for a blog post at Revival in Christ. It is talking about the power of God being in our weaknesses.

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

2 Corinthians 12:9

Our Strength is Weakness

I’m coming to find out more that my own strength is nothing but weakness. The times I’ve tried to stop sinning I tend to crash and burn. I end up sinning again. The Bible says that God’s power is perfected in weakness. Which means that trying to depend on our own strength will always end in failure. We cannot be victorious without the power of God. David didn’t overcome Goliath by his own strength. It wasn’t the stone that conquered Goliath. It was the power of God. In the same manner, we as believers have to depend solely on God in order to live a victorious Christian life.

If You Stumble, Don’t Worry. Get Back Up!

Living a Christian life isn’t easy. Regardless of your age, occupation, or upbringing, living a Christian life can be hard in the midst of a sinful world. But, we shouldn’t fear. We have an almighty God who invites us to live life with Him. We are not alone in this world. The Bible says that God is our Shepherd. Shepherds tend their sheep with love and care. I often envision sheep as small and vulnerable. We oftentimes feel strong and might but really, we’re like sheep. Small and vulnerable, needing guidance and care from a shepherd. Thankfully the Bible says that our Shepherd is good and loving. He cares for His sheep.

I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. – John 10:11

Don’t Give Up

Whenever I watch baptism videos they give me chills and make me emotional. It takes me back to when I got baptized. It’s such a life changing event. It changes you because even though you still struggle, your life is never the same again. You have been sealed by God. You’ve made a public declaration that you are a follower of Jesus Christ. Baptisms are symbolic in demonstrating our death and new life in Jesus. God never promised us an easy life. On the contrary, He often reminded us that we would face troubles. But to not fear because God will be with us all the days our lives. I want to remind you to not fear. God is with you. The same God that was with you in the beginning, is the same God that is with you to this day. Don’t give up! Continue to fight the good fight because God is worthy.

I hope these posts are a blessing to you. As always, I pray that it’s God who moves in whatever I write. I don’t want it to be my word. I can’t change no one, only God can. I pray that you have a blessed day and that God continues to strengthen your walk with Him. God bless you! Please consider following Revival in Christ on Instagram and Facebook.
